Bournemouth keep survival hopes alive with Leicester thrashing

Bournemouth have boosted their chances of Premier League survival with a 4-1 win over ten-man Leicester City.

All in the space of two second-half minutes, the Foxes blew a 1-0 goal lead - provided by Jamie Vardy - as Junior Stanlislas scored from the spot, then Dominic Solanke then put the Cherries ahead before Caglar Soyuncu was sent off.

Turkey international Soyuncu was given his marching orders for kicking Callum Wilson as Bournemouth celebrated their second.

Stanislas' 83rd minute shot deflected off Jonny Evans to double the hosts advantage, before former Liverpool striker Solanke grabbed his second.

"It was a game of two halves today. A difficult first half," Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said after the final whistle.

"We found it difficult to get any kind of foothold and everything was the reverse in the second half.

"The goals always change games and we haven't scored enough of them recently. It was probably the first time in a long time where we've had some luck."
