Bournemouth reportedly have their sights set on luring Hull City defensive pairing Curtis Davies and Michael Dawson to Dean Court.
The Daily Mail is reporting Eddie Howe is determined to lure the Tigers pair to the south coast but Hull manager Steve Bruce is reluctant to let Davies and Dawson leave the KC Stadium and believes the pair are the Championship's most formidable central defensive partnership.
Davies has indicated he currently has no desire to leave the club, despite only having six months remaining on his current deal.
"I'll only leave if the manager says he doesn't want me," Davies said.
"My contract is up in the summer and, right now, I am playing for my future. We are in talks over a new deal but, if the effort is not here to keep me, then I shall have to move on.
"I'll be 31 at the end of the season, and I need to be playing games. I would be happy to sign on again here because I've been at Hull for three years and really enjoyed it."
