Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is raring to go after the preseason break.
The Dutchman has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving at Vitality Stadium from Chelsea two years ago.
And he hopes a strong preseason campaign can provide the right foundation for the 2019/20 campaign.
He told the Daily Echo: "It was important to have a good break, relax and get our minds back at it and make sure we start well.
"I think last season pre-season went really well and we carried that on into the season and we want to do the same for sure.
"Pre-season is hard work, but it's also fun. It brings the team together.
"I'm looking forward to it. It will be good."
