Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly was delighted to make a belated Premier League debut last week.
The England under-21 international joined the club from Bristol City in May 2019 for £13million but has suffered ankle, thigh and hamstring problems since his arrival.
Bristol-born Kelly made his first appearance in the top flight on Wednesday, coming off the bench for the final eight minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Wolves.
He told afcbTV: “When I came and signed here, I wanted to hit the ground running.
“Picking up a fair few injuries along the past 12 months is a bit of a disappointing one.
“But it's a good feeling when you manage to make it out on the pitch and sum up that whole 12 months in a positive way."
He added: “Of course, it's going to be disappointing when we don't get a good result but, on the other hand, I guess you could say it was a bit of a good moment for me personally."
