Bournemouth defender Cook: Liverpool midfielder Wilson should be playing in Premier League

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook says Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson should be playing in the Premier League.

Wilson is currently on-loan with Cardiff City.

Cook told the Bournemouth Echo: “I was disappointed for him because I felt like he deserved to stay in the Premier League. He's a top quality player so Cardiff have been very shrewd in bringing him in."

Cook admits he hopes Wilson doesn't make much of an impact for his new side straight away against his former team as both sides look to push for promotion.

“I'm hoping that he doesn't have too much of an impact on Wednesday, he hasn't played a lot of football recently so we'll see how that goes.

“It will be nice to see him, but we'll be looking to go to Cardiff and make Saturday's draw against QPR a good point. If we go there and win, it's a solid point here and we can move on from there."
