Bournemouth defender Cook hopeful Burnley remain down

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook is hoping that Burnley will delay their revival until after this weekend.

Cook does believe that Saturday's opposition will eventually get their act together in the league.

But he is hoping that a tough campaign that sees Burnley with one point from five league games will continue as the two sides meet this weekend.

Cook told the Daily Echo: "Sometimes things go against you. When Burnley were in Europe they had a few decisions which went against them. That knocks your confidence and knocks you out of your stride.

"When that happens, it is really hard. We have had it many a time.

"When you start the season so early like they did in the Europa League, it's very demanding and difficult. We will be hoping to take advantage of that.

"They have a very good manager and a very good squad of players. I am sure they will turn the corner eventually, but not too soon."
