Bournemouth defender Ake: I'm studying Van Dijk's game and leadership

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake says he'd love to face teammate Callum Wilson in the Nations League.

Ake is in the Holland squad as Wilson has been named by England for their team.

“It would be great to face Cal if we could both play. We know where his strengths are and it will be a tough match. Our defence is extremely strong at the moment. Matthijs de Ligt and Virgil van Dijk form a formidable duo, they are two of the best defenders in the world," Ake told the club's website.

“It will be difficult to get past those two, but I am still learning and I watch how they do in the training sessions. I'm just trying to get better and I'll be ready if the opportunity arises. I also look at what I can learn from Virgil in the area of leadership. He is a great leader in our team and also at Liverpool. That is something I have to improve, I have to become more of a leader."
