Bournemouth boss Howe still in minds of Arsenal chiefs

Arsenal are continuing to contemplate making a serious move for AFC Bournemouth manger Eddie Howe.

The Sun understands that Arsenal chiefs see the 38-year-old as the perfect replacement for Arsene Wenger, whose current contract expires next summer.

Howe has previously been linked with the Gunners and it appears as the speculation will not go away with further reports suggesting the Cherries boss is the man the North Londoners want.

It is also understood that Frenchman Wenger, who started with Arsenal in 1996, has a job for life at the club which indicates he may move into a technical director position where he would work closely with Howe.

Wenger is yet to make a decision on his future as Arsenal manager but owner Stan Kroenke has informed the 66-year-old he can extend his stay if he wishes.
