Bournemouth boss Howe praises 2-goal Billing for FA Cup win

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe praised two-goal Philip Billing after their 4-0 FA Cup defeat of Luton Town.

Billing volleyed in a Diego Rico cross to open the scoring at Vitality Stadium before lashing home via a deflection the Dorset club's third after a Harry Wilson backheel.

The brace was the 23-year-old's first and second goals for the club since a £15million summer switch from Huddersfield.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “He's got a ferocious left foot. You've seen that today.

“He can strike a ball – I wouldn't want to be in the way of one when he connects.

“It's just getting him to shoot more, getting him in those positions where he can shoot more, getting him high enough up the pitch to be an influence in that final third."

He added: “The second goal, I had a feeling he was going to connect with it and, when he does, it's very difficult for people to stop.

“We need goals from everywhere, from all angles. So, if a midfielder can start contributing regularly, that's a massive thing for us."
