Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe says the left-back position is up for grabs after a serious injury to Charlie Daniels in Sunday's loss to Manchester City.
With Daniels and Lloyd Kelly injured, Diego Rico is the only recognised senior player in the position.
But Howe has called on the club's youngsters to take their opportunity.
He told the Daily Echo: "We still have options. Diego is one of them.
"But there are a few other players who can play in that position. The versatility of the squad is hugely important, that we have players who can step in and play positions that aren't maybe natural to them.
"But certainly someone needs to step up and grab the opportunity that they will be given."
