Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has told his young players to stay patient.
Adaptable full-back Brad Smith is 22, while Jordon Ibe, Lys Mousset and Emerson Hyndman are 20 and Lewis Cook is 19.
Reflecting generally on the mindset his youngsters should adopt this season, Howe told the Daily Echo: “I think they will have to show a degree of patience.
“Everyone wants to play, that's the first thing I'd say to that. All players in my squad want to start but not everyone can start, I can only pick 11.
“They need to take the longer-term view, develop, learn how we play and let us coach them and make them better players.
“If they can show that maturity then their careers are going to really blossom because they're all outstanding players."
