Bournemouth boss Howe: Future looks bright for Benik Afobe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes that Benik Afobe has a great future ahead of him.

Bournemouth splashed a whopping £12million to secure the services of 22-year-old Afobe from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January and the investment already seems to be paying dividends as he has already scored three goals in his past three outings for the south coast club.

Former Arsenal youngster Afobe was the hero once again for Bournemouth as he grabbed the winning goal in the Cherries' 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday night and following the game, Howe went on to hail the striker's potential.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Howe said: "It's a great lift for him and a great lift for us because you need the main striker in your side to give you goals and he's done that.

"I thought he linked the play very well, in the second half too. He always works hard and there's more to come.

"He's only young so the future looks bright for him."
