Bournemouth enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Callum Wilson, back from a seven-week injury lay-off, chested home a first-half opener and laid on Bournemouth's second for Ryan Fraser in front of watching England boss Gareth Southgate.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe said: "We needed it.
"We really felt for the supporters in that time without an away win so we're really pleased for them. They had a long journey, left early and we rewarded them with a good clinical performance.
"We were good in attack and solid in defence so it's a really good day.
"We didn't do anything different tactically, we performed well defensively - young Chris Mepham was very good for us particularly as he's only just joined us.
"I was pleased with the back four and the clean sheet was massive, that win is a confidence lift for the players."
