Bournemouth boss Howe reluctant to lose Aston Villa, West Ham target Begovic

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is reluctant to lose goalkeeper Asmir Begovic this month.

The Mirror says Begovic will be blocked from joining Bournemouth's relegation rivals this month.

Aston Villa and West Ham have been linked with loan moves for the Cherries' outcast keeper as both hunt for emergency cover between the posts.

But with his club inside the bottom three, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will refuse to allow Begovic, 31, to sign for any fellow Premier League struggler.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international, just back from a loan spell in Azerbaijan with Qarabag FK, is prepared to take a drop in his £110,000-per-week salary to get away from the Vitality Stadium.
