Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is a target for Everton's board.
The Mirror says Everton have made boyhood Toffees fan Howe their top choice to succeed under-fire manager Marco Silva.
Silva will be in charge for the trip to third-placed Leicester City on Sunday but majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright are ready to make a change after six defeats in their last nine Premier League games.
Both were stunned by the ferocity of calls for his dismissal during last Saturday's defeat by fellow strugglers Norwich City.
Bournemouth boss Howe is their No 1 target, and Moshiri and Kenwright are determined to get their man.
