Bournemouth have announced a preseason friendly with Lyon this summer.

The Cherries will face off against the Champions League side on the 3rd of August.

Lyon had an impressive season in Ligue 1 last term, finishing third to qualify for Europe's premier competition.

Bournemouth will be hoping the game is the kind of competitive preparation they need ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Cherries will also play friendlies against West Bromwich Albion and Brentford.
