Bougherra: No reason for Rangers to fear Man Utd

Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra insists there's no reason to fear Champions League group rivals Manchester United.

Algeria international Bougherra maintained the Scottish champions have been handed a "perfect" draw in Group C - which also contains Spanish cracks Valencia and Turkish champs Bursaspor.

Bougherra, 27, said: "You always come up against world-class strikers when you play Champions League football.

"The fact I could be facing Rooney, Michael Owen or Berbatov does not bother me. It will be great motivation for me, but I won't focus on individual names.

"But it is every player's dream to appear at such a mythical stadium as Old Trafford. And, God willing, I will turn it into reality by giving my best.

"We will not be group favourites, but that will not trouble us - in fact quite the contrary.

"We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

"But no matter what, we will defend our chances to the end.

"Our group is perfect and exactly what I'd wish for - there is an English club, one from Spain and a Turkish team. Perfect."
