The agent of Southampton winger Sofiane Boufal has revealed the club rejected offers for his client from the likes of Inter Milan and Fiorentina in the summer.
The 24-year-old, signed from Lille in 2016, scored a wonder goal to help the Saints edge past West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Boufal made 24 league appearances last season, and it has been revealed that he came close to leaving St. Mary's at the end of the campaign.
"He feels good now, he's just waiting to play more," Yvan Le Mée said.
"In August we had clubs like Inter, Fiorentina and Celta Vigo, who know what they're doing when it comes to buying players, who all wanted to buy him at any cost.
"Southampton said no though, and now he's proving he's someone who can win points."
