Gabriel Agbonlahor scored in Aston Villa's 2-0 win over Norwich last weekend - his first goal since March 2015, and boss Remi Garde thinks the striker still has a long-term future at the club.

"He has been here for a long time and he is the top goalscorer for Aston Villa in many years, so I know he is very important," says Garde.

"We missed time to know each other better as when I arrived he was injured and away for treatment. In life, in sport, in football you have difficulties with people in your relationships, it happened a lot at Lyon.

"But you have to cope with that and at one moment you have to break that situation and go forward - that's what we've done with Gabby."
