Borussia Monchengladbach are set to send Reece Oxford back to West Ham.

Sky Sports says Oxford looks set to return to West Ham early from his season-long loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 18-year-old, who spent five months on loan at Reading last season, joined the German club in June but has yet to make an appearance in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach are currently ninth in the Bundesliga table having suffered a 6-1 defeat at Dortmund last weekend.

Oxford has made seven Premier League appearance and was the second-youngest player to start a Premier League match when he made his debut against Arsenal in August 2015.

He signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal at West Ham in December 2016.
