Borussia Dortmund willing to double Haaland wages to keep him from Chelsea, Real Madrid

Borussia Dortmund aren't giving up on keeping hold of Erling Haaland next season.

Haaland is set to be the most in-demand player in world football at the end of the campaign, once his £64million release clause comes into operation.

Yet Dortmund are not ready to cash in on the prolific 21-year-old, and are now placing what could prove to be an irresistible offer on the table, says Sky Deutschland.

With Chelsea and Real Madrid heading a queue of European giants chasing his signature, it is claimed that Dortmund are ready and willing to double Haaland's current earnings - reported to be in the region of £7.5m - to around £15m.

Crucially however, Dortmund will insist on Haaland's bargain £64m release clause being delayed by another season, meaning it will not come into activation until the summer of 2023.
