Borussia Dortmund whizkid Giovanni Reyna has shut down talk of declaring for England.

The USA youth international is the son of former Sunderland and Manchester City midfielder Claudio Reyna and was born in Durham.

As such, England have been exploring the prospect of tempting him away from Team USA.

But Reyna told Ruhr Nachrichten: "I know the rumours, but it's very clear to me. I will only play for the USA, this is my home."

The attacking mifielder, 17, will be named in USA's senior squad for upcoming friendlies against Holland and Wales.
