"I feel honoured that I will be able to play for BVB soon, a club that is known for a special brand of football and plays in an impressive stadium in front of the biggest crowd in Europe at the moment, and the fans are very loyal and show real support!"

Merino made his debut for Osasuna in August 2014 and has so far played 51 times for the Pamplona-based outfit.
