Borussia Dortmund have announced they've released Erling Haaland from his training commitments this week.
Haaland's £63million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City is set to be announced later this week.
Dortmund confirmed to SPORT1 on Monday that Haaland has today been allowed to "take care of personal matters" as his move to Manchester nears completion. Negotiations between City and Dortmund have been conducted smoothly and the Bundesliga club are expecting confirmation that the £63m fee will be paid to activate his release.
Haaland was keen to have clarity on his future before this Saturday's final home game against Hertha Berlin, so he has an opportunity to say goodbye to home supporters.
Haaland is one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football and has netted 85 times in 88 appearances for Dortmund during two-and-a-half years there.
