Bordeaux are stepping up their move for wantaway Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
L'Equipe says the 33-year-old is in the final year of his current contract with the Premier League club and has emerged as a target for several Ligue 1 sides.
Rennes were believed to be the most likely club to land his signature, but Bordeaux have now stepped up their pursuit of the defender.
Two representatives from the club met with Arsenal officials in London on Friday to try and persuade them to allow Koscielny to leave for free.
It is claimed that the Ligue 1 side are open to paying a transfer fee for the player, but consider Arsenal's current valuation (believed to be around £9m) to be too high.
