Bordeaux keeper Cedric Carrasso reveals Sunderland offer

Bordeaux goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso has revealed he had an offer from Sunderland last month.

Black Cats boss David Moyes was left scrambling for a new keeper in the final weeks of the summer market after Vito Mannone suffered a serious elbow injury.

Carrasso confirms Sunderland made an offer top him - which he turned down.

The shot-stopper explained: "I had just come back from injury and there were other things to do..."

Sunderland have appealed to FIFA to allow them to sign Benfica keeper Mika outside the transfer windows this week.
