Bordeaux are challenging Rennes in their pursuit of West Ham striker Diafra Sakho.
Sakho is pushing to leave the Hammers in the coming days.
Foot Mercato says Bordeaux want to take Sakho on-loan for six months with the option of a €10m permanent deal. Meanwhile, Rennes are offering €12m for the outright option.
Despite the inferior offer, Bordeaux are regarded as favourites thanks to the presence of new coach Gus Poyet.
Poyet's son, Diego, is friends with Sakho after they played together at West Ham.
