The bookies have cut the odds on Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez signing for Tottenham before today's transfer deadline at 11pm.

Rodriguez was previously an automatic starter for the Saints but he has been restricted to just six Premier League starts this season.

The 27-year-old has regularly been linked with a move to Spurs in recent seasons, having enjoyed a close working relationship with Mauricio Pochettino during the Argentine coach's spell at Southampton.
