Financially stricken Championship side Bolton Wanderers may not be able to afford the wages of Wilson Palacios.
Bolton manager Neil Lennon is looking to sign a new midfield enforcer ahead of the next Championship campaign and it had recently been reported that the Northern Irishman had been eyeing a move for Stoke City's Palacios who is set to become a free agent.
However according to the Bolton News, the prospective move looks to have hit a stumbling block due to Bolton being unable to match Palacios' wage demands which are believed to be in the region of £2million.
