Bolton winger Petrov: We should have beaten Man Utd

Bolton Wanderers winger Martin Petrov was left disappointed with their 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Petrov felt Bolton more than deserved their 2-2 draw and he believes that if they maintain that level of performance between now and the end of the campaign then they will enjoy a fine season.

"Personally, to score and get an assist against Manchester United makes me very happy," he told the club's official website.

"But at the end of the day, it's all for the team and that's what we'll all continue to do; work hard towards the team's cause.

"It was a well-deserved point, but we are still disappointed because we feel we had a chance to win the game. Even when the score was 2-2, we had two or three good chances to take the lead again.

"We deserved the point, but it could have easily been three. If we continue to play like we did on Sunday, I think we will do very well this season.

"I've been staying behind in training and working extra hard. You can never do too much work and I've been working hard.

"I'm very happy here at Bolton Wanderers and I hope that continues. I want to show everyone here what I can do and I want to continue to play like I did against Manchester United."
