Bolton Wanderers have made a bid to hijack Manchester City's move for Nantes winger Christian Wilhelmsson.

The Sunday Mirror says Wilhelmsson is also wanted by Roma and City.

But the player is a target for new Bolton manager Sammy Lee, who is determined to strengthen his squad in preparation for his first full season in charge.
