Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies is being linked with Chelsea.

The Mirror says Davies, 31, is seen as the perfect foil for Nicolas Anelka, with whom he had a successful partnership at Bolton.

Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari rates Davies highly and is considering a January move for the ex-Blackburn Rovers forward.

The striker was ready to quit the game before Sam Allardyce coaxed him to Bolton Wanderers and helped revive his career.
