Bolton Wanderers have opened talks for Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome.

The Sun says Birmingham want £8million for the striker but the Trotters will have to up their £5m bid.

Stoke tried to land Jerome twice last season and could return. But Bolton are leading the way, even though he hit just five goals in the campaign.

Birmingham will let him go if the price is right and replace him with Marlon King.
