Bolton in the mix as ex-Reading ace Le Fondre gets set to leave Cardiff

Adam Le Fondre is set to quit Cardiff City only a year after arriving at the Welsh club.

The 28-year old former Reading ace was sent on loan to Bolton Wanderers in January and has flourished under manager Neil Lennon, scoring eight goals for the Trotters.

Le Fondre appears to have no future at the Cardiff City Stadium and could be on his way to the Macron Stadium on a permanent transfer this summer.

Bluebirds manager Russell Slade confirmed the news, saying: "I have had some frank and honest discussions with Adam. He has been unsettled.

"I have not had any contact from Bolton or Neil Lennon after his loan spell but I know for sure his agent is trying to work out something between the clubs.

"Adam feels he did not really settle in Cardiff. Nobody is going to steal him for nothing, that's for sure. We'll see what happens there."
