Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is excited by what he is seeing from the Academy.
Gartside believes the young guns are benefiting from playing the same style as Owen Coyle's first team.
"The kids are trying to play the same way as the first team for the first time in a long time," he told the Bolton News.
"At one point, we had two philosophies in the two teams and they were playing different styles.
"If you need a 6ft 4in centre half in your first team, there's no point playing a 4ft 6ins tall centre half in the reserves."
