Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon admits they're in signing talks with former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Now 36, Gudjohnsen has trained with the Trotters for three weeks and featured in a 3-1 friendly win over Bury on Tuesday.
Saturday's Championship home game with Huddersfield will be too soon for the ex Chelsea, Barcelona and Tottenham striker.
But Wanderers boss Neil Lennon confirms: "The signs are very positive. I'm not saying it's a done deal. A lot will be down to finances as well, but I think we're close."
