Bolton boss Gary Megson has wants the Premier League to follow in Rugby Super League's footsteps by allowing play to continue while physios treat on-field injuries. Megson feels such a move would speed up the game and cut out players feigning injuries.
Only in serious injury cases do rugby league referees stop the flow of matches.
"If that rule was introduced into football you would have 95 percent of every little injury disappear within a week," Megson told the Manchester Evening News.
"The only people affected then would be your own team-mates.
"If we brought in a similar rule then the game would be so much better for it."
