Bolton boss Coyle: Lee deserves contract upgrade

Bolton Wanderers winger Chung-Yong Lee has revealed he's signing a new deal.

Chung-Yong has proved a sensation since joining the club last summer from FC Seoul for £2.2million, and was voted player of the year in his debut season.

If players have come in, like Chung-Yong Lee, and proven themselves to be bona-fide Premier League players then I think it's important that you show parity, and that they are brought in line with what they should be earning," Trotters boss Owen Coyle said.

"I think that's only fair. I don't want players playing out of their skin for me and then finding out they earn a salary that is far below the others who are playing well.

"I like to try and make it a level playing field because the players give their maximum for me and I wouldn't like them to be compromised in any way."
