Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle says it's time to improve the output of the club's academy.
Coyle has not been shy about voicing his concerns to Academy boss - former Burnden Park team-mate Jimmy Phillips - since arriving at the Reebok at the turn of the year.
"I've had a meeting with Jimmy, who I played with and who's a good pal of mine, but he knows that he needs to start getting results from the Academy," he told the Bolton News. "Simple as that.
"It's not something you pay lip service to. We have invested a lot into our Academy and everything that goes with it.
"People who are in those jobs have to realise that it's not just about wearing a Bolton Wanderers T-shirt and coaching a few kids. There is an objective there, and that's to rear our own talent. We know the home-grown rule is being introduced in the Premier League, and I want to make sure we're in a good position to have our own players from within the area."
