Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle was delighted with the performance of Jack Wilshere in Saturday's defeat of Wolves.
The on-loan Arsenal midfielder impressed in a tireless display for the Trotters.
"For the country as a whole that is the type you want, English players who have composure on the ball," said the Bolton boss.
"He covered every blade of grass as well. Of course he has stuff to learn. That is why he is not a first- team regular at Arsenal. But that is not a disgrace.
"We will give Jack a platform as we believe in him and he will continue to do better."
