Bolton boss Coyle asks for January warchest

Bolton manager Owen Coyle wants to be cashed up for the January transfer window as he is keen to strengthen his over-performing squad.

The Trotters currently sit fifth on the league table having only been beaten twice and Coyle is looking to bring in some quality to get things really humming at Reebok Stadium.

"I would like to freshen things up. I have got my eye on a couple of players. Finance will dictate if we can do it or not," he said.

"Our scouts have been out and about around the world and I could reel a few names off but that would only alert our rivals. I would love to be able to bring some in.

"We are operating with 19 or 20 players and I believe in all of them. But if we are able to add one or two we would like to do it."
