Bologna are moving for Sunderland midfielder Jordi Gomez.

TMW says Bologna have already approached Sunderland for the Spaniard and kicked off negotiations.

Bologna have been encouraged in their pursuit and believe they can tempt Gomez to Italy in January.

The two clubs already have a solid relationship thanks to Bologna's deal for Emanuele Giaccherini.

Bologna have hopes of signing Giaccherini permanently in the New Year.
