Aston Villa are eyeing Bologna fullback Aaron Hickey ahead of the January market.

TMW says Villa boss Steven Gerrard is a fan of the Scotland international and wants to bring him to England.

Bologna are reluctant to lose the fullback and will only consider selling for a crazy offer.

Hickey moved to the Serie A outfit a year ago from Hearts and has been outstanding in a struggling Bologna team these past 12 months.
