Bologna coach Mihajlovic frustrated in Napoli defeat

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic insists they didn't deserve their 3-1 defeat to Napoli.

Lorenzo Insigne's brace and a Victor Osimhen strike made the difference for the Azzurri.

“Let's just say that we played and they scored the goals. We scored two as well, but they were disallowed, and we hit the post. Unfortunately, football is decided by goals and they did better than us in that particular aspect, but with the performances, we deserved more," said Mihajlovic.

“We are in the middle, so we could've done better this season, but also worse, especially considering the injuries. We do what we can do.

“I cannot complain today, as the lads took the initiative, created chances and we conceded goals on individual errors, even from players who are quite experienced. That makes me angry.

“If we play like this, we have a good chance of winning in future. I have always said our objective is safety. We have a squad with the quality to beat anyone, when we have the right mentality and focus. When we lack that attitude, we can lose to anyone.

“We are a team that create many chances, but don't score enough of them. That's been the case since the start of the season."
