Bologna chief Claudio Fenucci insists Pippo Inzaghi is safe after their 4-1 thrashing by Sampdoria.

The Rossoblu are in the relegation zone with only 11 points from 14 games.

“A defeat to Samp at Marassi can happen, but we had started the game well," insisted Fenucci on DAZN.

“We gifted the first two goals to Sampdoria and it all became more difficult from there. We've got to get back on our feet, because there's a very important trip to Empoli next week.

“We see the Coach work every day with intensity and effort, but then we're punished by errors we shouldn't see at this level. We will go forward with Inzaghi."
