Bolasie says Old Trafford was a huge draw for Fernandes despite just one win in five League games amid rising supporter discontent.
He insisted to the Mirror: “It is always going to be a great option and is a good move for Bruno.
“It is a monster of a football club, it doesn't matter where they are right now.
If you go there your life changes – on the field and off the field.
“He has a chance to shine but football is about results so let's see."
Bolasie admitted Fernandes' destination could have been different had Mauricio Pochettino stayed at long-term suitors Tottenham instead of being axed by the Champions League runners-up in November.
He said: “He was thinking about going to Tottenham in the summer but I think when the manager went that changes a lot of things."
