Boca Juniors signing Dani Osvaldo insists he didn't leave Inter Milan due to a rift with Mauro Icardi.

Inter canceled the striker's loan from Southampton so he could join Boca Juniors.

"I always said that if I had to leave Inter, it would be for Boca. People didn't believe me and even called me a liar on Twitter, but fortunately I am finally here," Osvaldo told Olé.

"I had many offers in Italy, in Europe and from smaller Leagues who could offer me a great deal, but I always waited for Boca.

"I read in Argentina that people said I left Inter because I wasn't doing well, but the truth is I had a better goals per minute ratio than Icardi.

"The reality of the situation is that my problems at Inter were off the field. In the end that discussion with Icardi was no different to any other, it was really blown up out of proportion and I have no problem with Icardi.

"That was not the main reason I left Inter, but I am not interested in revealing what it is. It certainly wasn't because of Icardi."
