Boca Juniors president Angelici admits interest in Southampton target Gaitan

Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici admits they're keen to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Nico Gaitan.

The Argentine is expected to leave Atletico this month and has been linked with Southampton.

Boca are also interested, though Angelici stated: "The thing about Nicolás Gaitán is difficult because at Atlético Madrid they want to recover the 25 million that they invested, so it will depend on a lot of sacrifice.

"We could bring him here on a loan."

Atletico coach Diego Simeone has approved Gaitan's departure, with the midfielder failing to make an impression since his arrival from Benfica.
