Boca Juniors chief Nicolas Burdisso admits they'd like to sign departing Roma captain Daniele de Rossi.

Burdisso is a former Roma player.

"I think his future could be with us," Burdisso told Fox Sports Argentina, amidst speculation Boca could sign the midfielder.

“Even though at the moment it is more hope than reality, Daniele is a friend. I speak to him regularly and, for a player like him, our door is always open.

“Now, obviously I don't want to put too much pressure on him because I'm sure it will be very difficult for him to say goodbye to Roma."
