Blind has similar traits to Hull City boss Bruce - Man Utd legend Pallister

Manchester United's Daley Blind is fast becoming the next Steve Bruce according to an Old Trafford legend.

Former Red Devils centre-back Gary Pallister played alongside Bruce at United during a successful spell in the 1980s and 1990s and can see the same attributes the now Hull City boss had in Dutch international Blind.

"He's a defensively minded midfielder who has also played left back so he can play a number of positions," Pallister told 888sport.

"The worry about Blind is his lack of pace but what he does have is the ability to read the game. There is a very cool, assured way he goes about the game but if he gets isolated….

"I mean, I played with Steve Bruce who wasn't the quickest in the world but could understand his positional play and I think we're seeing that with Blind. He's been a calming influence and he can play at centre half."
